I say again...FOOD AND NUTRIENTS ARE NOT THE FUCKING ENEMY! YOU DON'T NEED A FUCKING NUTRITION TYPE DETOX! (Yep, you read that right!) What do I mean by a nutrition type detox?!
Juice cleanses
Detox teas
Detox shakes
Fad diet detox's
Sugar detox's
ANY PRODUCT/DIET THAT CLAIMS TO "DETOX" YOU IF YOU CONSUME IT! "But Christine, I feel better because I cut out sugar/did a cleanse/follow this diet that is ultra restrictive and puts morals on foods! And my friend totally recommended it to me because it worked for them! And I feel better and I even dropped a few pounds... So it's got to be working! Christine, why are you hating on my success so much?!" Things that have literally been said to me, especially when I provide ACTUAL LEGITIMATE SCIENCE AND EVIDENCE as to why nutrition type detox's are bullshit, a waste of money, potentially extremely harmful to the body and mind, and ultimately don't fucking work. NUTRITION TYPE DETOX'S DON'T FUCKING WORK. PERIOD. THEY ARE NOT A THING! SO WHY ARE PEOPLE TRYING TO MAKE THIS A THING?! Because they want to make money and don't give a flying fuck if the product meets the claims they make about it, or if the product is harmful... They just want to make money. Welcome to the vast health/fitness/nutrition industries that have little to no regulation. This is why people, REGARDLESS OF EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES can get away with pushing out these types of harmful products/programs and prey on people who actually want to get healthier or lose weight. (Unfortunately, some people who have all the right education and credentials can still be in it just for the money regardless of who they hurt. I.E.: Dr. Oz, any nurse or nurse practitioner pedaling MLM products, certain types of coaches). There is a RIGHT WAY THAT IS SUSTAINABLE to reach your goals. There are LEGITIMATE programs and products that can help you reach your goals. There are LEGITIMATE HEALTH/FITNESS/NUTRITION PROFESSIONALS that want you to succeed and can provide you with LEGITIMATE products and programs that are SUSTAINABLE to help you reach your goals. Don't know where to start or feel overwhelmed? Ask me questions, let me help you find what works best for you and arm you with the knowledge so you can make the right decision for you. If I'm not the professional you are looking for, I can help you find someone who is! You can do it! #whattheHALEfitnessandnutrition#progressnotperfection#nutritionist#fitnessprofessional#healthprofessional#nobullshit#exerciseandsportscience#criticalcareparamedic#livehydrationspaames
Bringing awareness and legitimate information about health/fitness/nutrition to you from LEGITIMATE sources and LEGITIMATE, CERTIFIED health/fitness/nutrition PROFESSIONALS is one of my continuous goals. Being that it's the New Year, there are a lot of people wanting to focus on their health and wellness... Which is fucking AWESOME! Let's discuss how MLM health/fitness/nutrition/wellness companies just want to make money and prey on those people who are trying to reach their health and fitness goals. There are many of us LEGITIMATE, CERTIFIED, HEALTH/FITNESS/NUTRITION PROFESSIONALS, like myself, who have the means, experience, and knowledge to help you reach those goals with a high success rate... WE ARE THE ONES WHO ACTUALLY WANT TO HELP YOU! Then there are the people who just want to prey on friends, family, and the unsuspecting person who is trying to start their health journey... These people just want to make money regardless of whether the products they are selling are:
Toxic
Unsustainable
Using cherry-picked information to make their products seem legitimate
Flat out, don't work
These people also:
Use their relationships with people/friends/family through shady, toxic business practices to pressure people into buying their junk.
Are not legitimate, certified health, fitness, nutrition professionals. Some of these people just woke up one day and said, "I'm going to be a health coach and make money on my side hustle!"
Will try to use their medical credentials to appear more legitimate than others. For example, Dr. Oz (or any MD, DO, PhD, chiropractor), a registered nurse (RN), a nurse practitioner (NP), a physician assistant (PA). Some of these medical professionals have only had a class or two on nutrition and exercise with no further certification or education, which is not nearly enough to do what is right.
** However, some of these medical professionals have done the education and do know what they are doing...these are the good ones.** The MLM companies listed above are a FEW of the worst, most dangerous, and toxic MLM companies that exist today. The people who sell these products are in it for the money and have fallen for the bullshit that the corporate MLM sold them. If these people really wanted to help others, they would do the work by getting the education, by getting the legitimate certifications, seeing the MLM companies and products for what they really are, and stop being part of/selling MLM products. Remember, there is no QUICK FIX, OR EASY WAY to reach your health and fitness goals. IT TAKES WORK. Please, do some research into products and programs when starting or are in the middle of a health and fitness journey...your life may depend on it! Have questions about things I have posted or in general? Please feel free to drop a comment or send a DM! #whattheHALEfitnessandnutrition#progressnotperfection#nobullshit#healthprofessional#fitnessprofessional#nutritionist#exerciseandsportscience#criticalcareparamedic#newyear#livehydrationspaames
This is very accurate... To an extent! This is accurate ONLY if you remain AT LEAST 80% CONSISTENT with your habit changes, AND those habits have to work WITH each other, NOT AGAINST each other. This means there needs to be a BALANCE between nutrition, exercise, sleep, and stress. I know this may sound overwhelming... but I guarantee you, it doesn't have to be! Small, deliberate changes done consistently over time WILL help you get results! Don't know how or where to start?! That's where I, and others like me, come into play! Sometimes, a certain type of fitness and health challenge is needed to get started. Imagine if you started your health and fitness journey this week, the week of January 8, 2024, and stayed at least 80% consistent... How much would you have accomplished in 4 weeks, the week of February 5, 2024? What changes would you see in yourself?! How much would you have accomplished in 8 weeks, the week of March 4, 2024? What changes would you see in yourself?! How much would you have accomplished in 12 weeks, the week of April 1, 2024? What changes would you see in yourself?! Imagine, if after those initial 12 weeks you created a version of yourself that you want to continue to build on... Imagine if after those initial 12 weeks, certain tasks became easier, and you set different goals to build on what you've already accomplished and achieved... So you begin another 12 weeks, with different goals from before, and you keep moving forward... IMAGINE WHAT YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH ALL BECAUSE YOU CHOSE YOU! I want to help you reach your goals. I want to help you gain the knowledge and power to take control of your fitness and health. I want to help you feel better in your own skin. All you need to do is make that decision to take that first step to choose YOU and then ask me how I can help you. You can do it! #whattheHALEfitnessandnutrition#progressnotperfection#fitnessprofessional#healthprofessional#nutritionist#criticalcareparamedic#exerciseandsportscience#thisisjustthebeginning#chooseyou#livehydrationspaames
THAT'S RIGHT! IT TAKES TIME AND CONSISTENCY! You didn't wake up one morning with a weight/fat GAIN of 20, 30, 50, 100 pounds from the day before, did you?! Pending no medical emergency, there's no fucking way that you gained that weight/fat OVERNIGHT. TIME AND CONSISTENCY is how weight/fat gain happened. People gain weight and body fat over weeks, months, and years due to a multitude of reasons, but the biggest reason and the one reason we have the most control over is HABITS!
Our nutrition habits
Our exercise and physical activity habits
Our sleep habits
Our stress relief habits
Our medical related habits
IT TAKES TIME AND CONSISTENCY! Since you didn't wake up with a weight/fat gain of 20, 30, 50, 100 pounds from the day before, why would having an UNREALISTIC EXPECTATION that the weight/fat can be lost overnight?! Pending no medical emergency, there's no fucking way that you can lose that weight/fat OVERNIGHT. TIME AND CONSISTENCY is how sustainable weight/fat LOSS happens. People lose weight and body fat over weeks, months, and years and keep it off because of HABITS! They have improved their habits and have stuck with these habits CONSISTENTLY OVER TIME! They also understand that habits may have to change as life is dynamic!
IT'S FUCKING TRUE! It's only January 10, 2024...and the amount of bullshit I'm seeing on social media about food is fucking ridiculous! FOOD CAN'T HAVE MORALS! Can certain foods be more nutrient dense than others? YES! Can certain foods be more nutritious than others? YES! Can certain foods be toxic and harmful to certain people? Yes, especially if they have an allergy or certain medical condition! Can certain foods be "good" or "bad" for you? FUCK NO! BECAUSE... FOOD CAN'T HAVE MORALS! Certain social media influencers, fitness/health influencers, along with MLM Huns and dude bros, are using fear-mongering tactics and applying morals to food which is just complete, Fucking bullshit and extremely inaccurate! The amount of bullshit and inaccurate information out there these days, can feel almost overwhelming! This is where people like me come in to play... I am a certified nutritionist, along with having a BS in Exercise Sports Science and in Clinical Paramedic Science, I am also a practicing critical care paramedic. I am not a registered dietitian, but I do have a specific scope of practice that I can operate within. Providing y'all with legitimate, accurate, science evidence based information to help you reach your health and wellness goals, is one of the many things that I provide you with! If you have questions, or want to know where to start or want help reaching your goals, you are more than welcome to drop me a message and we can start a conversation about how we can get you to your goals. First things first, quit listening to bullshit like putting morals on food! You can do it! #whattheHALEfitnessandnutrition#fitnessprofessional#healthcareprofessional#nutritionist #healthyrelationshipwithfood#criticalcareparamedic#progressnotperfection#stopthefearmongering#livehydrationspaames

EVERYTHING IN LIFE AS WE KNOW IT IS MADE OF CHEMICALS!
E V E R Y T H I N G !
In the above infographics from a Melbourne, Australia chemistry teacher and chemistry textbook author, James Kennedy, shows the chemical composition of certain fruits and an egg. Pretty mind-blowing, huh?! Social media is littered with fear-mongering dipshitidiots and charlatans spewing word vomit to sell their bullshit products and programs. One of the ways these asshats fear monger, especially when it comes to nutrition, is by saying: "This food/product has CHEMICALS that are super toxic/bad for you. You should buy this product/food instead (this is typically a product they get kickbacks from)." "If you can't pronounce the ingredients, DON'T EAT IT! It's toxic/bad for you! You should buy this product/food instead (this is typically a product they get kickbacks from)." "If it (food/product) has chemicals in it, then IT'S NOT NATURAL, and it's toxic/bad for you! You should buy this product/food instead (this is typically a product they get kickbacks from)." I sense a theme here... These dipshitidiots and charlatans are one of the many reasons why a person can become completely overwhelmed with where to start and what to believe when trying to change nutrition, fitness, and health habits. These same asshats have little to no understanding or legitimate education when it comes to chemistry, nutrition, health, or fitness. They appear like they know what they are talking about because they cherry-pick information to fit their narrative in order to sell their products or the products they get kickbacks from. That's super fucked up. This is where I and people like me come into play. We strive to provide legitimate, science based information on products and programs to help you change your health, fitness, and nutrition habits. WE WANT YOU TO SUCCEED! Questions Feel free to drop a comment or send a DM! Some days, this is much easier said than done. Every one of us has been here and done that, regardless if we want to admit it. Many times, to snap out of the "I can't" cycle/loop, we need something or someone to help change the narrative... It can be a text conversation with a friend or loved one. It can be spending time with a friend or loved one. It can be taking a shower. It can be cleaning a room, house, apartment, garage, car, etc. It can be changing who and what you follow on social media for more positive content. It can be unplugging from the internet for a little bit. It can be going outside for some fresh air. It can be volunteering at a local animal shelter. It can be journaling to organize your thoughts. It can be physical activity, like going for a walk, going on a run, and/or going to the gym for a workout. It can be meal planning and preparation for the next few days. The list goes on... but for some of us, we draw a blank on how to get out of the vicious "I can't" cycle/loop. As a health and fitness professional, I understand many of the psychological aspects that come along with a health and/or fitness journey. It's not always unicorns and rainbows. However, there are health and fitness professionals like myself that can help you get through those "I can't" cycles/loops in a positive, healthy way. You are not alone, and we are here to help! You CAN do it! #whattheHALEfitnessandnutrition#progressnotperfection#nobullshit#habits#health#fitness#nutrition#notanmlm#fitnessprofessional#healthcareprofessional#nutritionist#criticalcareparamedic#livehydrationspaames
This! 100 fucking percent! I follow a lot of people on social media in the fitness, health, and nutrition industry. It can be difficult at times to determine what is real. Many fitness, health, and nutrition social media influencers make a shit ton of money off of what content they post, regardless of what filters they use, how accurate the information is, or what claims they make. These types of social media influencers fall under 2 categories: 1. They drank whatever kool-aid that was being sold by a company and are completely blindly flowing without using any critical thinking skills or skepticism because, after all, they are making money-ish. We see this most often in MLM companies like Herbalife, Optavia, Plexus, Isagenix, Modern, and IT Works. The people making the most money are the up-lines and corporate. 2. They use every sketchy-ass tactic in the book to knowingly sell products and programs to people. They use everything from cherry-picked information to fit their narrative to fear-mongering to sell their products and programs. These influencers don't give a fuck what they do or say or if they are doing harm, because they are making money. Now, there are social media influencers who are legitimate health, fitness, and nutrition professionals. They do exist!! These humans are very real about the content they post. They show the behind the scenes, they don't cherry-pick information, and they legitimately want to help people. Do these types of social media influencers and professionals make money on their content? Yes, some do, potentially a lot less than the charlatans, fear-mongerers, MLM huns, and "coaches" do, unfortunately. And some of the good social media influencers and professionals make absolutely no money at all from their content, they just want to dispel and expose all the bullshit that the charlatans, fear-mongerers, MLM huns, and "coaches" post. These two PRO TIPS relate to each other more than you might think... Let's unpack these 2 PRO TIPS. First and foremost...DON'T FUCKING COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHERS! PERIOD! When you compare yourself to others, 3 things happen... 1. Unrealistic expectations are set. 2. The mental mind fuck becomes very real and very constant. 3. The rate of success in reaching your goals decreases significantly. Each person is different and has different: 1. Medical history 2. Lifestyle 3. Background ...to name a few. So when going through your fitness/health journey, focus on you and don't compare yourself to others...it's just not worth it. Being that everyone is different when it comes to fitness and health journeys, if someone uses an adjunct to help them reach their goals, don't fucking judge them. You have no idea what struggles they have when it comes to them reaching their goals. Adjuncts are becoming more popular and available for people to help them reach their goals. Appetite suppressants and GLP-1 medications such as semaglutide and tirzepatide are some of the adjuncts that are becoming more popular. THESE ADJUNCTS ARE NOT A QUICK FIX! A person still has to put in the work to reach their goals! If you have questions about adjuncts, please comment or send me a DM, and I will be happy to help answer your questions! #whattheHALEfitnessandnutrition#protips#progressnotperfection#nobullshit#notanmlm#habits#healthyrelationshipwithfood#healthyrelationshipwithexercise#nutritionist#healthcareprofessional#fitnessprofessional#criticalcareparamedic#chooseyou#livehydrationspaames
